Welcome to the newly restored Snook Bight Marina, a Suntex property, proudly rebuilt by Golden Marine Systems after the devastating impact of Hurricane Ian. Our state-of-the-art Golden Marine Systems floating aluminum dock array now stands as the centerpiece of this world-class marina.
Following the obliterating force of Hurricane Ian, which left Snook Bight Marina in ruins, Golden Marine Systems stepped in to rebuild and restore this iconic waterfront destination. The storm’s fury tore away all the marina’s wet slips, fuel dock, and piles, leaving behind a trail of destruction. With 8 feet of water flooding the marina office, store, and storage barn, the damage was extensive, including the loss of company forklifts.
Undeterred by the challenges, Golden Marine Systems swiftly initiated the fabrication of replacement dock sections at Golden Manufacturing’s ISO 9001:2015-certified Fort Myers production facility. Utilizing premium marine-grade 6061-T6 aluminum, our Golden 850 Series Aluminum Dock sections were meticulously crafted to withstand the rigors of marine environments. Equipped with integrated E-Tracks, our docks offer versatility, allowing 12″ cleats to slide fore and aft to accommodate individual vessels. The array at Snook Bight Marina features a 240′ center walkway flanked by two 8′ W x 725′ L cross sections, each adorned with 11 4′ W finger piers. For added convenience and safety, all docks are covered in fade- and slip-resistant Endeck composite decking.
